An Urgent Plea for Help: Our Animals Are in Danger from the Heat
Keep Our Wildlife Patients Cool, Safe, and Healing
Right now, WINC is facing an unexpected crisis. Two of our four massive air conditioning units, each with a 4 ton cooling capacity, have failed at the same time. In the sweltering summer heat, our building is struggling to stay cool, and the lives of our patients depend on it.
From tiny, orphaned baby birds to fragile injured and sick wildlife fighting to survive, every animal in our care needs a comfortable and cool environment to heal. Our dedicated staff and volunteers are doing everything they can, adding ice cubes to water bowls, running extra fans, and monitoring each patient constantly, but it isn’t enough without functioning air conditioning.
The cost to replace these units is $15,000, an enormous unplanned expense. These animals depend on us, and we’re asking for your help to make sure they stay safe and cool.
We have arranged for an HVAC company to install two new units today, but we urgently need your help to cover the cost. Every dollar makes a difference in keeping our wild neighbors safe, cool, and on the road to recovery.
Please give today and help us protect the lives depending on us ❤️
